It all started out as a rather slow day – blizzard conditions outside so not much to do…
So I joined up with a FTA group because you never know when it actually might get off the ground.
Apparently there were rumors flying around that a Horde invasion was coming to kill the Prophet at The Exodar, so we were summoned there first to defend and quickly stomped the Horde into the ground.
Then it was off to Undercity and we efficiently killed Lady Sylvanas Windrunner.
I had about 3 guards chasing me into her room and wasn’t sure I was going to make it in before getting killed but I dispersed and got away.
Gear Repair Bill: 32 silver
Next was Lor’themar Theron in Silvermoon City. I was surprised it was so easy. It took a while to kill him but there were not many (if any) Horde players around.
Gear Repair Bill: 74 silver
A quick summons to Thunder Bluff and Baine Bloodhoof bit the dust.
Gear Repair Bill: I didn’t bother repairing.
Expectations were high as we were summoned above Orgrimmar and flew in to kill Garrosh Hellscream, but the Horde were ready and we were promptly stomped into the ground.
Gear Repair Bill: 102 gold.
Oh well.
But then the raid leader said we were going to try again about 6 hours later at 12:30 am server time. We re-grouped and with only about 38 or 39 people in the raid we hid until TB started and went for the kill.
The Horde didn’t know what hit them.
It was Glorious.
MissP graciously provided a couple of screen shots of the aftermath on the Horde side:
Yup, he looks dead to me!
Many people got their Black War Bears, so we posed in front of Stormwind Keep with an appropriate message:
And of course, a screen shot of me with my new Black War Bear!
Updated to add Pain Vendor’s account of our Victory. Special thanks to the leaders of Operation FTA – Scorchapollo and Dragejr from the guild Misdirected – great job guys!
