5.2 patch in two weeks?
Right…
Okay, I looked at this interesting information from Bashiok “Preparing to Kill a King” and well, I don’t know if I’m prepared.
My Horde priest is somewhat prepared – she has ilvl 484 so she’s good to go for the new LFR.
My Alli priest also has ilvl 484 but she’s still rocking a blue weapon. Now that I’m looking, my Horde priest has a blue staff. Thank you, RNG.
Neither one of them has enough Sigils or whatever for the Black Prince but that doesn’t matter because I don’t need a fancy gem if I don’t have a weapon to put it in.
JPs and VPs?
Heck, I either don’t have enough to buy anything or I have enough and don’t have the rep. Gating purchases behind rep is probably one of the dumber things I’ve seen so far in MoP except of course, CRZ.
*insert standard CRZ rant here*
Lesser Charms?
I’m swimming in them. Can’t even convert them because the max Greater charms you can carry is 10 and one of my priests has 9. If I convert them I’ll lose 2 so…
No point using them for rolls – why not just let us trade them in for 28g 50s right at the source instead of pretending it will win us a weapon or something?
More dailies – yes, we needed more dailies!
Still no word on what hoops we will have to jump through to buy the farm – I’m betting my Greater charms on more dailies that are all vehicle quests.
Rogue Gets Boots!
Ran my baby Rogue through a few dungeons and got the boots from SM. Lucky for me no one else was interested in Leather Agility boots!
Got her up to level 35 and one of her new spells is Vanish. I think I might just level her up through dungeons until she gets to Northrend so I can skip Outland completely.
Of course, with CRZ I found cross-server “gangs” killing all the NPCs at HP the last time I was there so no point wasting time with questing. Yup, on a PvE server. Nice touch Blizzard.
Did a few more quests on my Horde Priest and she’s now halfway to level 90. Questing has been pretty easy so far. Even those nasty knock back mobs that consistently killed my first Priest through the zone weren’t much of a problem this time around.
I got into Townlong Steppes and noticed right away the mobs were more difficult. I think they have about 325,000 health and my Priest is way under 300,000 so stuff dies a lot slower.
Love is in the Air
I already got the achieves and toys for this world event so I don’t feel any pressure to get anything done. I have four characters that can queue for the holiday boss so that’s a bit of fun.
My Horde priest snagged the fumigator mask but no mount or pet yet. Actually, I found the pet at a very low price on the AH so I just bought one. I might even have a Battlestone around somewhere.
It’s nice to just enjoy the holiday events without the pressure to get everything done. This will be especially noticeable during Children’s Week. I think there are one or two more pets I need but no more queuing up for the Battleground Achievements!
I am so happy for Account Bound Achievements because there is absolutely no way I’d want to do those Battlegrounds again on multiple characters!

I think Elegon is your best bet for a weapon drop.

Yes, but you need to actually kill Elegon before the weapon drops
Details, details…

Your lesser charms will be used after the patch to craft the new type of elder charms, so those will still be useful.

Yes I read about that – just hope we can convert 300 or 400 at a time instead of just 90

Don’t worry, you can have like 10 million of the suckers.
You’ll be fine.

I’m 490 right now and still using a blue bow, ;w; I did the math, and with all the LFR/normal Emperor runs with coins I did alone (I did lei shi and gate of the setting sun as well) I had a 92% chance to see the bow. RNG hates me.
